New Guy for Mayer Brown UK

Law firms with international coverage, such as Mayer Brown, increase their efficiency if they have the right people aboard. Right people are those with the capabilities, the expertise, and the dedication to get the job done. For Mayer Brown, Martin Mankabady is one of these; a key addition to their growing number of partners.

Mankabady, who joined Mayer Brown London last July 28, is an expert on corporate law, particularly finance and insurance. Prior to his recent joining of the prestigious law firm, Mankabady was with LG, and was engaged in M&A, joint ventures and corporate finance affairs for clients, which include BGL Group and Discovery. The hiring of Mankabady has certainly bolstered Mayer Brown’s London office.

The Mayer Brown associate is currently with the firm’s City Corporate Team. Peter Dickinson, Mayer Brown’s chief in the United Kingdom, said that Mankabady is a great contribution to the whole team, whose expertise and extensive knowledge in insurance policies and technicalities complement the group’s core focuses, such as distribution issues.

Mankabady’s hiring increases the total number of Mayer Brown’s associates to 120 - 48 coming from the City Corporate division. Prior to Mankabady, Mayer Brown also acquired William Charnley from the London arm of McDermott Will & Emery in September last year.
