The Pros and Cons of Val D’Isere in France
Unrivaled amongst most celebrated skiing areas, Val d’Isre vaunts 499 km of ski pistes. The winter season begins during Nov and culminates in May. The high altitude resort provides everything for you. The resort unfolds along the vale from La Daille until Le Fornet with the focus on Val d’Isere itself. This bunch of attractive homes contain chic boutiques many of which have sprung up since the resort was chosen for the winter olympics.
Spred over 3 different areas the town has lots of trails for all levels of skiers. Val d’Isere has a good historical snow record, the village is massively popular amidst pro skiers and piste hungry intermediates, but you don’t need to be especially adventurous to love what is there. One can easily see why numerous British are pulled in to the town, with its crazy apres ski and the wide variety of amusement on offer, however the near proximity of Tignes allows you to venture out to less busy climes if it all begins to get too much.

Easily accessible from Geneva airport. A superior nightlife in the French Alps. Everyone understands English. Quick approach to both Val d’Isre and Tignes known collectively as the the Espace Killy skiing area. There is lots of cars and although there are frequent buses during the day, devoted party animmals should head to be within a short walking distance of the town.

Dear. Frantic and very popular with English holiday makers, so not for holiday makers seeking a typical French resort to relish a calming vacation. A lot of ski lifts can shut in inclement weather. A few hard blue and green trails.
